Thursday, December 12th at 7pm

Please join us for an evening with Long Island poet Valerie Nifora as she speaks about and signs copies of her new collection of poems, I Asked the Wind: A Collection of Romantic Poetry.

About I Asked the Wind:
I Asked the Wind is a journey into romance, love and loss through poetry. Beautiful and powerful in its lyrical and simple verse, you will find yourself immersed in a world of sensuality, passion, desire, and innocence; all woven together into a tapestry of human emotion.

Drawing on natural elements such as the sun, sand, wind and moon, this collection explores the light and darkness of romantic love. From the exhilaration of love first discovered to the crushing pain of love lost, each poem evokes the intensity of the experience.

Universal in its appeal, it raises the question, “Was this love real at all?”

About the Author:
Valerie Nifora is a storyteller by nature. A professional career in Marketing and Communications allowed Valerie to use her love of prose to craft compelling narratives, to elevate experiences, and forge meaningful connections.

She believes in the magic and power of words and credits her appreciation of language to her Greek-American heritage.

Valerie holds a degree in Communications from Emerson College and an MBA in Marketing from Fordham University. She is the mother of two amazing sons who inspire her view of the world every day.

She lives in New York.
