“These are not books, lumps of lifeless paper, but minds alive on the shelves. From each of them goes out its own voice and just as the touch of a button on our set will fill the room with music, so by taking down one of these volumes and opening it, one can call into range the voice of a man far distant in time and space, and hear him speaking to us, mind to mind, heart to heart.” – Gilbert Highet

Used, out-of-print, signed and collectible books have always been an important part of the inventory at Book Revue. As a matter of fact, when we first opened in 1977, we sold only used books.

We believe our store is far more interesting because our stock is not limited to books that are currently in print. There are literally millions of books that are no longer being published and the possibility that some of these may be discovered on our shelves adds an exciting dimension to our store.

Among our used book stock many collectible books may be found. Signed, rare and valuable books make a special gift or investment, as often the value of signed and collectible books increases over time.

SIGNED AND COLLECTIBLE

At Book Revue, our author readings and signings as well as our purchases of private libraries and estates yield a steady stream of signed books.

In past years a few of the authors who have visited Book Revue and signed stock for us include former President Jimmy Carter, President, Bill Clinton, Hilary Clinton, Anne Rice, Neil Simon, Whoopie Goldberg, Tom Clancy and Yogi Berra. Click here for a complete list.
