Please join us for an evening with local author M. H. Gallagher as he speaks about and signs copies of his book Aren’t We All.
On the pages of this book you will find the story of a young boy, who as a child received a quarter while vacationing on the Jersey shore. With that quarter, he decided to take a carousel ride, A ride which lasted 67 years with all of its ups and downs as the carousel spun in its continuous circle.
This is the story of a vacations with his family, on that very same Jersey Shore.
This is the story of growing up on Long Island in the 1950’s. A more simple time, enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
This is the story being a Mets fan, but more importantly how the game of baseball can be used to mark time as the years pass.
It is the story of a proud Irish American, and the love story he created with his Italian American high school sweetheart.
This beautifully written nonfiction story is the retelling of the events of a brother, father, grandfather and friend. From a devastating stroke until his death, told by his eldest son, the author writes with use of flashbacks and memories to tell the story of one man’s life and the family he created.
It’s the story of one man’s family but more importantly the story of family because when it comes right down to it, “Aren’t We All…”
