Join us for an evening with Long Island filmmaker and photographer John Lazzaro as he speaks about and signs copies of his new book The Walls Still Talk.
About The Walls Still Talk
The Walls Still Talk is a photo essay documenting the decades of neglect and decay of the Kings Park Psychiatric Center in Kings Park, NY as a result of deinstitutionalization.
This limited edition, 42 page hard-cover photo book offers thought-provoking images of a state hospital that was once the pride of the local community but which has now fallen into a beautiful state of abandon as a result of deinstitutionalization. This is John’s first photo book which is designed by the artist himself.
