PAUL GRIFFIN

Author and King's Park native PAUL GRIFFIN will be speaking about and signing his new novel, Ten Mile River.

In Griffin's debut novel, best friends Ray and Jose are not your typical thirteen-year-olds. They've escaped foster care and juvenile detention centers to live on their own together in an abandoned building located near Manhattan Park called Ten-Mile River. With no use for school or families, street-smart Jose and bookish, introspective Ray have everything they need in each other. They're as close as brothers until they fall in love with the same girl, and tension creeps into their relationship as they try to find identities separate from each other.

Paul will be speaking at Book Revue about the new novel, and about how aspiring writers can go about getting their foot in the door of the publishing industry. The event is put on in cooperation with the Huntington restaurant Canterbury Ales, which will offer a special promotion in conjunction with the signing.
