Demystifying Radiology: Women’s Health Issues, Why Quality Images Matter with Steven L. Mendelsohn, M.D.
Thursday, May 3rd from 7-9pm

Please join us for a talk given by President & CEO of Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology, Steven L. Mendelsohn, M.D. as he debunks common misconceptions about radiology and answers all of your questions like…

What are the different kinds of mammograms?
How often should I get a mammogram?
Is a mammogram better than a breast sonogram?
Why do I need to have a mammogram and a sonogram?
Is a 3D mammogram worth the potential extra cost?
What difference does equipment make?
What id a DEXA scan and why do I need to have one?
Should patients be concerned about their exposure to radiation during exams?

Women’s health has been a motivating factor for Dr. Mendelsohn since his mother passed away from breast cancer in 1992, despite receiving yearly mammograms.Dr. Mendelsohn ultimately found that old equipment and incompetent physicians resulted in her cancer being missed year after year.

As Dr. Mendelsohn put it, “It was so important to invest in quality equipment. My mother’s death made me realize how important it is to focus on the quality of care.”

In an effort to prevent this from happening to another family, Dr. Mendelsohn committed to investing in high quality equipment and care for all Zwanger-Peseri patients.

For over 65 years, Zwanger-Peseri Radiology has been setting the gold standard in radiology with an unmatched level of patient-centered care, research, education and commitment to the Long Island community.
