Ambassador Charles A. Gargano
Thursday, October 10th at 7pm

Please join us for an evening with legendary Republican fundraiser and strategist Ambassador Charles A. Gargano as he speaks about and signs copies of his book From the Ground Up.

About From the Ground Up:

Confronted with helping to rebuild the ruins of lower Manhattan in the aftermath of September 11, Ambassador Charles A. Gargano spent twelve years cleaning up and revitalizing Ground Zero and developing One World Trade Center. The experience was life affirming and provided a signature testament of hope. As a legendary real estate icon, engineer, and Republican strategist who served in the US government for three decades, He knows what does and doesn’t work and how to apply that experience to the foundation of America.

Gargano’s approach to engineering powerful, beautiful structures and planting seeds of hope in our greatest cities has given him a distinct vantage point and unique voice. Seasoned with authority, his advice is indispensable for rebuilding an America at risk of ruin. Now, facing the most politically divisive moment in generations, Gargano applies his decades of experience in public service toward the task of re-engineering our nation’s political and moral infrastructure From the Ground Up with traditional, values-based leadership.

About the Author:

Ambassador Charles A. Gargano, a real estate legend, expert engineer, and legendary Republican fundraiser and strategist, served the US government for three decades, appointed by Presidents Reagan and George H.W. Bush, as well as by New York State Governor George Pataki. As Chairman and CEO of the Empire State Development Corp., Commissioner of the Department of Economic Development, and Vice Chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Gargano was principally responsible for the regeneration of lower Manhattan following September 11, 2001. His immersion culminated in the rebuilding of the World Trade Center. He also masterminded the renovation and re-engineering of dozens of major New York projects, including the Atlantic Yards; the Jacob Javits Center; the second Harlem Renaissance; Dia Center for the Arts; Downtown Brooklyn; Buffalo Harbor; Niagara Falls; and the 42nd Street Revival. Now at the start of his ninth decade, Gargano remains an indefatigable conservative force, cementing a formidable legacy in politics, business, and urban development.
