Do you have an amazing idea for a book?
On December 3rd, let THE BOOK DOCTORS and their friends be the judge when they return to Book Revue for PITCHAPALOOZA!
It's the year anniversary of our legendary Pitchapalooza blow-out. Pitchapalooza
is American Idol for books (only without Simon). Twenty writers will be selected at
random to pitch their book. Each writer gets one minute—and only one minute!
At Pitchapalooza, judges will help you improve your pitch, not tell you how bad it is. Judges critique everything from idea to style to potential in the marketplace and much more! All attendees come away with concrete advice on how to improve their pitch, as well as a greater understanding of the ins and outs of the publishing industry.
Whether potential authors pitch themselves, or simply listen to trained professionals critique each presentation, Pitchapalooza is educational and entertaining for one and all.
PRIZE: At the end of Pitchapalooza, the judges will pick a winner. The winner receives
an introduction to an agent or publisher appropriate for his/her book. In addition, every writer who buys a book will get a free consultation from the Book Doctors, a $100 value. Numerous Pitchapalooza winners and attendees have gone from talented amateur writers to professionally published authors.
In order to sign up you must purchase a copy of The Essential Guide to Getting Your Book Published here at Book Revue. People will be chosen at random from the list to pitch their book idea. Please call 631-271-1442 with any questions.
